The Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Communications and Information Technology Regulatory Authority (CITRA), H.E. Dr. Khaled Mohammed Al-Zamel, headed the State of Kuwait's delegation at the 32nd Meeting of the Committee of Undersecretaries of Posts and Telecommunications of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) States, held via videoconference on Sunday, September 27, 2026.

The delegation included H.E. Eng. Mishal Al-Zaid, Acting Undersecretary of the Ministry of Communications, and Dr. Ahmed Al-Husseini, Director of the Public Relations Department.

Kuwait's participation comes within the framework of strengthening cooperation and coordination among GCC member states in the fields of postal services and telecommunications, as well as discussing the items on the meeting's agenda and relevant recommendations, in a manner that supports joint Gulf action and serves the mutual interests of the GCC states.

The joint participation of CITRA and the Ministry of Communications reflects the importance of integrating national efforts and coordinating among the relevant authorities, each within its respective areas of responsibility, to support Gulf cooperation and benefit from shared expertise and experiences in developing the postal and telecommunications sectors.

These meetings provide a platform for continued dialogue and coordination among GCC states on shared priorities, exploring opportunities for cooperation, and keeping pace with developments in both sectors. This contributes to the advancement of services, meets the needs of beneficiaries, and strengthens the ties between the GCC states and their peoples.​
