The Communications and Information Technology Regulatory Authority (CITRA) , represented by H.E. Dr. Khaled Mohammed Al-Zamel, Chairman of the Board, participated in MWC Doha 2025, held in Doha, State of Qatar. The participation came upon the kind invitation of H.E. Mohammed bin Ali Al-Mannai, Minister of Communications and Information Technology of the State of Qatar.

This conference is the first of its kind to be held in the Middle East and North Africa region. It took place from 25–26 November 2025 at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Center, as part of the GSMA Ministerial Programme, which brings together leaders and decision-makers in the telecommunications and information technology sector from around the world.

H.E. Dr. Al-Zamel also attended the opening ceremony on 25 November 2025, which highlighted the latest global developments in telecommunications and the digital economy, contributing to strengthening regional and international cooperation and supporting digital transformation efforts in the State of Kuwait.​
