Kuwait Communications and Information Technology Regulatory Authority (CITRA) announced on Monday that it achieved operational results totaling KD 115 million (approximately USD 373 million) for the 2025/2026 fiscal year, marking a growth rate of 4.3 percent compared to the 2024/2025 fiscal year.
CITRA said in a statement to KUNA that the results reflect the effectiveness of the authority's strategic plans, noting that sustained financial growth strengthens its ability to keep pace with digital transformation and deliver more efficient and higher-quality services.
The authority added that the growth achieved underscores its commitment to developing Kuwait's telecommunications and information technology environment through investment in digital systems and infrastructure, as well as enhancing regulatory frameworks that align with rapid technological developments.
CITRA affirmed that it will continue efforts to promote governance principles and institutional innovation in support of the digital economy, improve services provided to beneficiaries, and reinforce Kuwait's position as a promising regional hub in the telecommunications and information technology sector.
