CITRA participates in the World Telecommunication Development Conference (WTDC) in Baku

The Communications and Information Technology Regulatory Authority (CITRA), headed by H.E. Dr. Khaled Mohammed Al-Zamel, Chairman of the Board, participated in the World Telecommunication Development Conference (WTDC) organized by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) in Baku from 17 to 28 November 2025.

H.E. delivered Kuwait's national statement during the High-Level Heads of Delegations Meeting and along with the accompanying delegation, attended the official opening ceremony of the conference.

On the sidelines of the conference, the Chairman held several bilateral meetings with his counterparts from the Arab Republic of Egypt, the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, and Japan.
The meetings discussed avenues for cooperation in the fields of telecommunications and information technology, as well as a number of topics of mutual interest, most notably digital transformation, infrastructure development, satellite communications, and ways to benefit from artificial intelligence.​
